How To Kill Bed Bugs

Are you trying to find out how to kill bed bugs? Bed bugs have become a more ordinary dilemma to face for some people.  These nighttime bugs reside in bedding and get nourishment from blood.  Infestation can take place anywhere but frequently in mattresses, bed covers and box springs.  Often you will only see signs of their feeding after you have noticed itchy red bites that are left behind.  The infestations are difficult to get rid of and takes commitment. Be certain that these little creatures are your problem before you begin treatment.  The treatment for bed bugs only efficiently works on bed bugs, therefore, be sure that this is your culprit and not some other small parasite.

You can purchase an encasement for your mattress, which is different and better than a padded mattress for your bed because the encasement zips.  This will ensnare the bugs inside and leave them to starve to death because they are not able to feed.  This solution will probably take between a few months to a little over a year if you chose this route to rid yourself of the little suckers.  These bugs can stay alive without human blood for 80 to 140 days; the older ones can live on for up to one year or more without a feeding.

You can try the old vacuuming method.  Vacuum as often and as thoroughly as you can. Vacuum on a daily basis before bed. Use a crevice tool to reach every corner and crevice of your mattress and all nearby furniture and fabrics, as well as curtains and drapes. Immediately empty the vacuum away from the house and outside of your home.  Wash your vacuum filter and hoses thoroughly.  Try the method of vacuuming up a little flea powder that has Pyrethrum in it so the bugs will die out as opposed to crawling from your vacuum.

The use of natural products to get rid of bed bugs is by far a safer method and has been proven effective.  Safe products can be obtained from a professional pest control technician in your area.  You may also opt to try the alcohol and water mixture method.  In a large spray bottle yield 50/50 of water and rubbing alcohol and spray it over the entire length of your mattress.  Be certain to cover the entire surface including all corners and sides as well.  You want to get the mattress saturated with the solution enough to at least kill the eggs of the bed bugs.  When all else fails, call the exterminator.  It is often a last chance resolution and probably a more costly solution but it can make a difference in rather you would have to purchase an entirely new mattress or not.  A professional has the knowledge and access to more dominant insecticides, which can get rid of bugs faster and in a more efficient manner.

If by chance you take it upon yourself to use a pesticide, please keep in mind that if a pesticide does not say that it is effective against bed bugs then it is not.  Please keep kids and animal away from the pesticide and away from the room before and after the usage of a pesticide or at least until the room becomes fume free and pesticide has dried.  Pesticides can kill upon contact.
